July 2006 New DSS Film Processor Version 4.0:


		Dual Spiral Systems has released a new version of the Film Processor software. The Film Processor allows users to calculate various process parameters specific to the blown film and converting industry.


		Film Processor allows you to simplify blown film parameters, calculate roll diameters, line speeds, do a cost analysis, and accurately predict water vapor and oxygen transmission rates for single and coextruded films. 


		The program comes with its own resin database that users can add to. The new version of the Film Processor allows users to calculate Take Up Rate and Forming Rate, used in balancing film properties in order to produce films with even MD and TD properties.
